The excellent database at quiche.cs.mcgill.ca for fpt'able programs was mentioned already in this discussion group. However, ways to retrieve the information were not clear. Here is one way: Suppose you want to know where are files whose filename contains, say, cmr10. Here is what you press (parts in square brackets are for exposition only): telnet quiche.cs.mcgill.ca [username] archie [no password is required.] set search sub set mailto <your e-mail address> prog cmr10 [you may see many files scrolling on your screen, too fast to be useful] mail [you will get the database of the requested files in your e-mail] quit BTW, if you ftp to the above address, using anonymous ftp, you will find in directory /pub/recipes/tex the USENET cookbook; namely, many recipes written in Latex. Enjoy the meals. Michael Michael Maschler One should observe two rules Department of Mathematics in order to succeed in one's career: The Hebrew University Jerusalem, Israel 1.
