Say, how did this brouhaha about tailgatingfastdrivingseatbelts- seatbeltlawshelmetlaws, not to mention scraping hash off the pavement, got started anyway? Any instant net historian care to put things in perspective? First I remember reading about some out of the blue tip from a certain Safe_Driver about how to deal with tailgaters, then the go_fast_bad_dudes come out of the woodwork, then some Mr Nice Guy start calling fellow netters "egg-sucking fools", and next thing I know the august Mr Horton had to come on to admonish everybody to move their lively discussion to net.auto.
