MacBibTeX is a port of BibTex 0.99c for the Macintosh that we ported and distributed about 1.5 years ago. Version 2.0 is now released. This version has a real Mac interface and a more flexible path searching procedure to fine *.bst and *.bib files. I've tried MacBibTex on Textures and OzTex. It's been used for about 1 year w/o bug reports. I don't know if it is or is not System 7 compatable because (1) we havne't brought up System 7 and (2) I don't know what the programming implications are that determines if an application is or is not System 7 OK. A binhexed, stuffit file containing the application and a README file has been submitted to midway.uchicago.edu, science.utah.edu, and info-mac (sumex-aim.stanford.edu and mirrored at wuarchive.wustl.edu). It would be especially nice if somebody adds it to an archive in Europe. The readme file and the "About MacBibTex..." dialog give instructions about obtaining the ThinkC 4.0 source code from us. MacBibTex is free and in the public domain. Michael Kahn (kahn@informatics.WUSTL.EDU)
