[comp.text.tex] Problem with TeXtures 1.3 and CM/PS-fonts

erja@daimi.aau.dk (Erik Jacobsen) (05/31/91)

After installing the CM/PS-fonts version 0.9 the preview on the
Mac doesn't show any characters below '040 (32 decimal) in the
TeX-fonts (and '177 is also missing).

Printing on a PostScript-printer works fine, except for '000 ($\gamma$).

I've read on comp.text.tex that a new version 0.9 solves the $\gamma$-
problem (and we'll get that one), but will this have any effect on
the missing characters in the preview? Or am I doing something wrong?

Characters are missing from the preview both using and not using ATM.

I just finished a book using Textures and have been working around this for the
last few months. The most annoying bug is that using actual-size viewing, the
minus signs disappear while in 120% viewing the minus signs return, but the
equal sign disappears.

I have talked to Blue Sky about this and they claim it is a bug in ATM. I tend
to agree with them because the document prints both characters just fine on a
printer and you can see both characters if you preview at 131% (I think). It
looks to me like a roundoff error in ATM.
