carrow@itd.nrl.navy.mil (Steven A. Carrow) (06/04/91)
I recently downloaded label.tex from ymir, only to find that, instead of 3x11,
I was getting 3x7 output. Particulars:
TeX 3.0, dvips 5.47, LaserWriter
Test file:
\input label
\faddress address.tex
\end
address.tex contained 33 3-line addresses separated by blank lines, then a
blank line followed by \done.
Results of "tex":
This is TeX, C Version 3.0
(labels.tex (/usr/local/public_domain/lib/tex/inputs/label.tex
\address \faddress \done
<0> Total Labels
) [1]
! Missing } inserted.
<inserted text>
}
...
l.2 \faddress address.tex
?
After X-iting, the dvi file produced was evenly spaced 3x7 addresses, instead
of 3x11. I am a novice, so it's very possible I screwed up, but I don't know
where to start looking. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Steve
