Having gotten tired of seeing tex files as the only documentation of various public domain packages I've ftp'd, I was finally going to break down and get a copy of some public domain TeX package. Unfortunately, I don't even know if such a thing exists, and wherever I go to do anonymous ftp (including ymir), I can't figure out what these things they call "sources" really are. The latest example being the "source" on ymir, which I see absolutely NO way of understanding how to apply. What is my problem? Is there any such thing as public domain TeX? Will I tear all my hair out before I get a reply? Any help answering these questions would be greatly appreciated. -- ----- Pete Hartman Bradley University pwh@bradley.bradley.edu Haazavaa?

My apologies for my previous posting, asking for TeX sources, but not stating what machine I needed them for. I'm running SunOS 4.1.1 on various Sun 4 (sparc) machines. I have recieved mail pointing me to the FAQ list and a supplement with information on how to get TeX, so I don't think I'll need any more help on this. Thanks to those who sent me mail about this. -- ----- Pete Hartman Bradley University pwh@bradley.bradley.edu Haazavaa?
