[comp.text.tex] gentel tex

steve@unx-pc.UUCP (Stephen Hess) (06/11/91)

I have a copy of Gentle.tex that I can do any thing with. When I tried to
tex it it bombs on the first line of code a type of if-statement. I new
at tex and don't under stand the error. The statement picks a font type.
Also when I tried to detex it it also bombs. Sorry I dont have the error
here to tell what it is but I seen to remember about to big. If I could
get either of these process to work I be happy. I presently reading the
TeX book and porting TeX to my person machine so that I will have more
access and better access to TeX. Anyother suggestions.

THANX in advance,
steve

niord.shsu.edu [192.92.115.8] has a working copy of ``Gentle TeX''. It is a
vms machine so use ``cdup'' instead of ``cd ..''.
