I plan to install an HP-PostScript catridge on an HP III printer,
for a MS-DOS pc that has been working (happily) with EmTeX /and the
E.M. drivers.
I have just installed dvips547
I will appreciate any help/suggestions regarding the following issues:
1. What is a good way to preview a .dvi file ?
dviscr complains that it can not find the ``rp*'' fonts
2. Any comments on the relative value of the
i) HP-PostScript catridge
versus the
ii) Pacific Data one
Thank you advance ! ---Mxiaofei@acsu.buffalo.edu (X. F. Wang) (06/16/91)

I converted a .TEX using regular cm fonts to
.DVI (emTeX) and then to .PS (dvips5.47 of Tom Rokicki) and
then printed the .PS on a HP laserjet 3 *without* a cartridge
(Ghostscript 2.2 ftp'able from prep.mit.ai.edu ./pub/gnu/ghost*) and I
compared it with the output from a lps40 of DEC and I can not find the
difference. So do we need PS cartridge ($300-$400) for HP laserjet 3 ?
