[comp.text.tex] looking for MF source for Times Roman fonts

Hi,

I'm trying to track down MetaFont source code for some alternative
Times Roman fonts. I have the TFM files for the following fonts:

timesromanb.tfm timesromand.tfm timesroman.tfm timesromanbi.tfm
timesromani.tfm ps-ncs-rom.tfm romn16.tfm romn8.tfm romnb24.tfm
romni14.tfm ps-p-rom.tfm romn18.tfm romn9.tfm romnb36.tfm romni16.tfm
ps-p-romsc.tfm romn20.tfm romnb10.tfm romnb6.tfm romni18.tfm
ps-t-rom.tfm romn24.tfm romnb11.tfm romnb7.tfm romni20.tfm
ps-t-romsc.tfm romn30.tfm romnb12.tfm romnb8.tfm romni24.tfm
romn10.tfm romn36.tfm romnb14.tfm romnb9.tfm romni6.tfm romn11.tfm
romn5.tfm romnb16.tfm romni10.tfm romni7.tfm romn12.tfm romn6.tfm
romnb18.tfm romni11.tfm romni8.tfm romn14.tfm romn7.tfm romnb20.tfm
romni12.tfm romni9.tfm

The first few have the words "ZEROX" in their headers, the last bunch
say "BLOCK LETTERS BY PERSONAL TEX (sic)", I'm not sure about the
"ps*" files. I can't find MF source on any of several archives.
Can anyone suggest where I can find them?

The reason I am doing this is that I am using TeX to produce a journal,
and the nine-point cmr9 font is not as clear as the nine-point Roman
font historically used by the typesetters (this may be due to my
300dpi printer ...)

Thanks for any help!
