I am just attempting to shift from MSWord to LateX for word processing and what follows is a list of questions dealing with this painfull process. While using psprint 1.99 with Oztex 1.3 on my Mac SE/30 (system 6.07 with true type init) on a Deskwriter (software version 2.1) I get a "Datacomm buffer overrun - no DTR handshaking error". [Does that sound like jargon or what!] The deskwriter prints the first line of the first page and then gives this error. This happens if I format the document using Latex or Times-Latex on Oztex. Macdvi72 works and prints on the Deskwriter but takes forever if I use any font other that Computer Roman of if I format using Times-Latex. I also find that when formatting with the Times-Latex format and using true type that PSprint is unable to find the font name. The truetype init/fonts seem to send an "" (empty) font name to the printer or postcript file. In fact I have been using MSWord for most of the time and an now thinking of shifting to LateX because of lack of crossreferencing and bibliography support in MSWord. (see note below) A few days back someone asked if there was a WORD --> LateX translater. Did anything come out of it. One of the DAs that do equation formatting is supposed to produce LateX code. Anyone which one and has anyone had any experience with it? As you can see I am pretty lost and so any kind of help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. All of which work for small ducuments but have various limitations for larger documents.
