Is there a way to take a LaTeX file, run it, and output (on the side) all the primitive code that was executed? So that one can send the latex file, rather than the DVI or postscript? Thanks, --chet--

My understanding of soelim is that it just expands the directives to include files. There was a utility posted some time ago that did the same thing for TeX, called texexpand. Unfortunately I recently discovered that the version I had contained a bug and that I'd lost the source :-(. Other people may be able to point you to a newer, bug-free version. I do, however, have a (short) emacs-lisp function which does the same job if that is any use to you. Graham ---------------------------------------------------------------- Graham D.
