Below is an excerpt from a private reply to J. Held to his
questions posted to Future-L. If any of you want a copy of the non-
technical file I mention, send me an informal request to one of
my addresses below.

{I'm sending you a copy of a file (aprox. 15,000 bytes) I wrote for }
{colleagues in the U. of Oklahoma Philosophy Dept. (Via separate}
{message.) Also, the most comprehensive reference of networks I know}
{of is _User's Directory of Computer Networks_ by Tracy LaQuey. Send}
{her an informal request for information on how to obtain a copy. The}
{address is tracy@utadnx (Bitnet) or tracy@emx.utexas.edu. It IS }
{possible to get it online, but the maps and charts don't come out}
{well. Better to get a hardcopy by U.S. Snail. Tracy will tell you}
{how to do so. No node manager, network rep or techrep, or amateur}
{interested in the networks should be without it. }
{ Also, send the command SEND NETINFO FILELIST to }
{listserv@bitnic for a catalog of various files on Bitnet, but not}
{much on networks in general. }
