TWiMC, I've noticed some confusion in louie.udel.edu's ftp directory. I'm fixing to point some new NTP-ers at this stuff, and it would be helpful if things were simplified a little. There are two areas on louie with NTP-related files: /ntp and /pub/ntp. The latter seems to be the proper place to get the most up-to-date files, and the former has exact copies of much of the latter's contents. With the exception of a few .dat files, one could probably remove /ntp without losing any information. Also, /pub/ntp/ntp/ should probably be renamed /pub/ntp/xntp, since that's what it contains. I assume this is a snapshot of Dennis' stuff, although I have not gone to the horse's mouth yet. And while I'm on the subject, for those of us who do not keep an archive of Dave Mills' ntp mailings (and for those of us who do, but have let them get so big that they're afraid to look in them), it would be useful to have a "table of contents" file in /pub/ntp which describes the topics of the various documents included therein. It could surely help avoid ftping the wrong file (and/or printing it out to see what's in it). Perhaps the documents could be moved into their own subdirectory, and a bibliographic TOC could be built for it. Now, where'd I put that PostScript previewer for X11R4? Hmmm. Marion

Marion, Mea culpa. I'll see what I can do. Dave
