Reposted-by: emv@math.lsa.umich.edu (Edward Vielmetti) Do any of the 760 Meg (5.25 inch) SCSI drives work on a DecStation 3100? Our first choice is the CDC Wren VI, then Hitachi DK 515-78C, then Maxtor. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks, Jim Logan loganj@yvax.byu.edu loganj@byuvax.bitnet

We're currently using a Fujitsu M2263 drive on our DS3100, it works OK, bur must be configured not to use synchronous SCSI since ULTRIX3.1 otherwise will hang during autoconfig. Re-enabling synch SCSI on a running system at least doesn't crash ULTRIX but I don't know if you get any performance gain. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris.
