I have been trying to connect external drives to an IBM system/6000 through its "SCSI" port. I have tried CDC, SONY (optical), and Micropolis drives without any luck. The IBM still boots and appears to reset all devices on the SCSI bus, but refuses to acknowledge the existence of the non-IBM hardware on the bus. Has anyone found peripherals that work on this system? I've also posted this on bit.listserv.power-l. Thanks, Jim Smith (JHS106@PSUVM).
