I am trying to use an LMS 1200 OSI WORM with a sun workstation. The SCSI controller driver ( from INTROL) has an entry for LMS1200, but at boot time the autoconfiguration procedures fails and the LMS is never configured while others units worked fine. The LMS 1200 on bus reset or power on enters on UNIT ATTENTION status and doesn't answer at the boot configuration ( see Byte March '90, Inside Scsi). I don't have the hardware manual for LMS and the italian dealer is not able to help me. Does someone know if it is possible to disable the unit attention for LMS1200 and the switches I have to change ?
