I have a 120 megabyte hard drive on my IBM PS/2 70-a21, and since I handle large databases, I have an IBM tape backup system 6157-002. This tape backup system uses 150 meg cartridges. The tape backup program that I use is SYTOS from Sytron, and it is a royal pain. It is very inefficient because it is buggy and will not work if I try to append to a previous backup. Sytos was recommended to me by the IBM marketing rep (who is a very nice person, but knows zip about software). Do you know of any good public or commercial tape backup program that I could use instead of this idiotic sytos program. Is there anything like fastback + for tape backup machines? Please e-mail your suggestions to me. beekun@nevada.unssun.edu. Thanks a million. P.S. Here's a computer joke to thank for your efforts: How do you know that a Texas Aggie has been using your computer? Answer: by the liquid paper marks he made on the CRT screen!!!
