[comp.periphs.scsi] SCSI choices...

I'm trying to find gigabyte drives that run with 32 bit EISA interfaces for
a HP 486 machine I'm building. Has anyone had any dealings with the
following products:

	Mylex DCE376-16 EISA Controller
	DPT Smart Connex EISA Controller

	HP 97549T/P 1.18 Gb disk

I know the HP drive is on the new side. I'm going to use either SCO or
Interactive Sys V 3.2 for the op sys, and I'm also concerned that there may
not be drivers available for these. Do the component makers or the Op sys
folks usually write drivers for unix??

If you have had success using any other large drives with EISA, I'd sure
appreciate hearing about them.

thanks,
