Has anyone seen the 1.2GB or 1.7GB HP SCSI drives? I would like to know their dimensions and speed. The reason I want to know their dimensions is to see one can can hook these drives onto a SS1+ in an *office* environment. It'll be great if one can fit 2 of these drives into a pizzabox-sized chassis so that I can stack the chassis on top of a SS1+, hence saving desk space. I also hope that they don't take too much power though since there are a limited number of sockets in an office (it'll be nice if 2 drives can share a power-supply inside the chassis). With regard to speed, are these drives fast enough to turn a SS1+ into a small fileserver - serving about a dozen nodes? I hope that they are comparable to the Sabre's using the Xylogics 7053 controller. And finally, I wonder if SunOS 4.1 capable of newfs(8) very large filesystems -- by very large, I mean filesystems of size over 1 GB. Any pointers/info much appreciated.
