[comp.periphs.scsi] ST296N drive in Sun-2

cyliax@ecn.purdue.edu (Ingo Cyliax) (08/13/90)

I'm thinking about buying a ST296N (80Mb,28ms,SCSI) drive for a Sun-2.
Are there any problems to be aware of. Also, do the ST1096N or the ST4096N
have much faster SCSI transfer rates than the ST296N ?

Is USA FLEX in Glen Ellyn an ok place to order from ? Any problems ?

Thanks,

-ingo

I called them asking about the 150 meg tapes (DC6150's) they had
advertised for $21 in the shopper - and found out that the tapes
would have ended up costing $25/each with the expensive shipping
charges (which are a rip off).
