--------------- I have a shoebox that I want to connect to my Sun 386i. The shoebox contains an Adaptec ACB 4000 SCSI->ST506 controller, a Maxtor 2190 disk, an Emulex MT02 SCSI -> QIC 36 controller and Archive 5945c tape drive. As the 386i (like the Sparc`s) contains an external terminator the wiring is as follows: SUN =======================================================TERMINATOR || || ACB 4000 MT 02 || || Maxtor Archive (SYS disk id 2) (SCSI id 0) (SCSI id 4) (91 Mb) (Terminators on both removed) I first connected this configuration to my SUN 3/75 made a sd4 device and formatted the drive. Everything worked perfectly. On my 386i however the tape drive still works perfectly but I get the following error in the booting sequence: Unexpected SCSI interrupt 0X47. After this I do not seem to be able to access the device as sd0 (or anything). I expect that the problem lies in the sd device driver which might try to use disconnect and reconnect which the ACB 4000 does not support. The 386i runs SunOs 4.01. Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
