Organization: Computing Center, University of Oregon Thanks to everyone that replied to my call for info on attaching a external drive to the Cube! Now for the bad news, it still doesn't work!! The latest from NeXT is that the Maxtor 8760s does NOT work with the cube. Apparently the ROM on the imbedded controller is incorrect for the cube, but works ok on the Mac family. Rumor has it that Maxtor will not field upgrade ROM's after the drive has left the factory. (anybody know different?) Vacations have made it impractical to try formatting the beast on a Sun workstation yet, but we will probably try that route "next" ;-)...... Thanks again, this saga will continue and our solution will be posted.
