I'm somewhat confused by the SCSI connector situation. If this is a FAQ, I wasn't able to find it anywhere. DECstations and the Suns use a small 2-row connector on the system unit. Sun shoeboxes use large 3-row connectors. Other devices such as DEC disks/tapes use large Centronics-style connectors (no pins, just a double-sided strip of contacts). So: - who uses which connector and when - what kinds of adaptors and cables are available and from whom - what are the names for the different connectors (so I don't have to keep describing them each time) - what standards, de facto or official, apply -- Dave Sill (de5@ornl.gov) Martin Marietta Energy Systems Workstation Support
