I have a DTK 25 Cache Board. Now I want to install an SCSI controller from Adaptec, the 1542B. All jumpers are on default.Everytime i boot my machine, everything seems to be correct, floppy drive a and b respon, the Adaptec Bios responds and the SCSI device is installed as drive C. But then the maschine doesn't boot from floppy drive a. No other hardwarecard uses the Port Address 330h which is used by the SCSI controller. When i change the port address from the SCSI controller ( default 330h ) the machine boots, but the bios of the SCSI controller doesn`t work correct. In the discription of my 386 motherboard there is an I/O Address Map. But the Adress 330h is not mentioned. Is this a hint that i can`t use this Address? Hoping for any respond. Thanks in advance.
