[comp.periphs.scsi] Wangtek 5099EN24 cartridge tape drive

athos%eyrie@labtam.oz.au (David Burren) (11/19/90)

I'm trying to hook up a Wangtek 5099EN24 tape drive to a Sony NWS-1510
workstation, to complement the 380 Mb disk I've already added.

What I need to know is which jumpers on the drive are which - specifically
which set the SCSI ID, but any further information will be welcomed.

I believe this drive was used extensively in Sun shoeboxes, so I'm hoping
someone here will know a little about it.

Failing that, does anyone have an idea of who to ask for tech data on this
drive?

Thanks in advance!

It's been pointed out to me in mail that this drive is NOT a SCSI device, and
requires an external controller. Oh well....
