I haven't played with the SUN based 8MM driver, but I have examined the Exabyte manual. My question is what is the standard max size of data that can be backup on the largest tape cartridge? I see there are P6-120 tapes which hold 2,292 Mbytes of data and there are P5-90 cartridges which hold 2,413 Mbytes of data. Does the drive auto sense these? How does one get the 2,413 Mbytes selected? Does the SUN driver default to 2.3 Gb? The curious want to know. norsk@eecs.cs.pdx.edu
