I have a 600 meg SCSI disk hooked up to a Sun 3/80 running 4.0.3. I was wondering if it was possible to set the drive to use synchronous SCSI for better performance. I have heard that there is a way to do this by patching the kernel. Does anyone have any advice, either pro or con about this?
