I have a 386-33 generic clone which I must use as the support vehicle for three operating systems, DOS/WINDOWS, SCO and ESIX. I have been unable to gather the information for making all three operating systems bootable from the 600MB drive sitting behind the 1542 which I have available to me. I currently have a FASST 7000 (WD & Columbia) which does have multiple system support but no ESIX support. If you have any information either positive or negative on my dilemma or its solution, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you, E-mail if you think the other folk would not be interested, else in this newsgroup. I read it faithfully daily.

Greeting from the South Pacific. This public access system I am using displays the following at login - ESIX System 5.3.2 Copyright (C) 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988 AT&T Copyright (C) 1987, 1988 Microsoft Corp. Copyright (C) 1988, 1989 Everex Systems, Inc. and runs on a Adaptec 1542 ([B] if I remeber correctly) controller with 670MB & 380MB SCSI drives. Prior to ESIX it was running on SCO Unix 386 with the same H/W. The machine I am using at home (here now) is running PC-DOS 3.3 with a 1540A & 200MB SCSI fine. I am not a Windows fan so I can't guarantee it would work but I have yet to find ANYTHING that will not work on the 1540 under normal circustances. I hope this answers your question about Multiple OS support.
