I just bought a new Adaptec 1542b SCSI controller, and I'd really like to get it to work with this old Archive 2150s 150mb tape drive. Everything's just about right - my older controller/HD combo (Perstor 16bit ARLL controller and MiniScribe 3085) boots up fine, and then I get the Adaptec BIOS message. It says that it has recognized the tape drive (Archive Viper xxxx (some numbers)) and then gives some other info about ports/ interrupts and things. The problem is that it says something like No SCSI BIOS, and then Interrupt 13h handler not enabled. It therefore won't load the ASPIDISK.SYS, which apparently is needed to use the tape drive. Does any have an idea of what I am doing wrong? My config sys has only DMDRVR.BIN (for the old HD), then ASPI4DOS.SYS, then ASPIDISK.SYS. Do I need the ASPI-210 Tape Module or something?? (and where can I get it?) The manual says that for removable/tape devices, ASPIDISK.SYS is required, but it also mentions that the ASW-210 drivers ("ASPI Tape Module and Sytron SY-TOS for tape for DOS) are available. What to do?? I'm using DOS 3.3 on a DTK 386sx.. court
