The funny number of heads and cylinders comes from the translation required
to convert SCSI's logical characteristics to physical charateristics for
DOS. There is nothing wrong here. The 154x always, except in an earlier
life, converts the logical blocks and reports 64 heads, 32 sectors/track,
and then the number of cylinders are adjusted to reflect the actual size
of the disk. For instance, and 80MB drive would get reported as 64/32/80.
BUt if you really want to reformat the Quantum, you can use SCSICNTL to
do so. By setting the fill data pattern bit in the unique mode page of the
Quantum, it will format the disk. Look for the program somewhere in this
group. I just posted the latest version and docs.
