[comp.periphs.scsi] Bull-Micral BM30 hard disk

mussi@manolo.inria.fr (Philippe Mussi) (02/14/91)

I am not sure that this message found its way outside INRIA, so I repost it:

 Hi netlanders!

I have a (very old) Bull Micral BM 30 (XT-compatible), with a dying 10M hard
 disk . I also got an ST225...
Unfortunately, the HD has a rather strange controller, made of two boards:
 	-a combined SCSI-serial-floppy board (marked Bull-Micral)
 	-a SCSI-ST506 converter, marked Xebec
The HD itself is a Microscience (ST506, 10M)

Does somebody know how I can replace this HD? How may I ll-format it?
(as you imagine, I lost the original disks, which were supposed to contain
 an HDFORMAT.EXE...)
