I have the AHA1542B controller, and I often use qemm and I load ASPI4DOS. All the times I have checked, qemm indicates that the controller ROM is not used. What I want to know is if this is always true, that is the controller ROM is only used before ASPI4DOS is loaded. If this is so, I can instruct qemm to use that space for loading other programs high. Please answer to this message if: 1. You know some cases that the ROM is used even when ASPI4DOS is loaded (the code for some operations may not be repeated on ASPI4DOS). or 2. You KNOW that this will not happen, because you are familiar with the code that is executed (Can someone from Adaptec answer this ?). thanks sarantos sarantos@princeton.edu
