We want to purchase a 1.2Gig scsi disk. We have received quotes for a Fujitsu 2266, but have no experience with Fujitsu disks. I would like you to give me any information you may have about these drives. We have a problem with our mail service, so please post your answers. We are just beginning to use it, so I can't give any assurances regarding it. I can say that it was no problem to format or partition and seems to be running fine. A couple of criticisms about Fujitsu, though: They don't ship a printed defect list with the drive, so don't accidentally destroy the one on the disk. Also, the Technical Handbooks for the 2266 and for the 2261-2262-2263 drives contain errors and lack some information you may need to format the drives. For the 2266 in particular, the number of cylinders is apparently wrong. Fortunately, the distributor we bought from (R Squared, Englewood, CO) supplied the needed formatting specs. Unfortunately, their specs were also erroneous (for the 2261), but a phone call got me the correct information. Sorry I can't say more about the drive. Maybe in a month or so.
