How much of a performance increase is obtained in having an extra SCSI bus on a SPARCstation 2? Say I have one SPARCstation 2 with two fast (synchronous 3MB/s transfer rate) SCSI disk drives and that there are two processes running which are constantly reading and writing and each process has its own disk. Now if buy one of these SCSI Sbus cards for $495 from Sun and move one of the drives over to the new SCSI bus will I get twice the I/O throughput over all? -- Marc L.
