I am looking for the following things (both SCSI related): 1) A SCSI programming manual for a Cipher 540 60Mbyte cartridge tape drive. In particular, I am wondering how close this thing is to SCSI-1 if I were to write a driver for it. I tried to get it from Cipher directly, but there has been several corporate marriages since the time this drive was sold, and they seem to have developed amnesia about the manuals for same :^<. I would be willing to pay you copying + postage + a little for your time, not to mention a lot of gratitude if you can do this. 2) A dusty SMD->SCSI controller that someone is willing to let go for relatively small bucks :^>. A chance for someone to unload their closet...... Manuals would be nice, too. Make me an offer I can't refuse... I have seen the Adaptec SMD->SCSI for $175 at Wierd Stuff Warehouse, so I would like something for less than that.
