[comp.periphs.scsi] DAT for backup and audio?

hpasanen@cs.hut.fi (Harri Pasanen) (03/26/91)

I'm just curious...

Are there DAT drives that can be used as back up systems, as well as for
recording and playing your favorite music?

If such devices exist, what kind of prices are we talking? (I assumed
they were SCSI controlled, is it really so?)

As far as I am aware, no such devices are on the market, although one
drive I saw did have space for an audio socket.
