[comp.periphs.scsi] Fujitsu 1.2Gb drive

Does anyone have experience using the above drive ? Any problems ?

If anyone has used it with the Adaptec EISA SCSI controller (1740),
especially under ISC unix, how fast is it ?

No problems at all - a nice drive. I am using it on an old Intel
board as a PC drive, with an Adaptec AHA-1542B controller.
It seems very fast, but I am sure that other things on my system
are limiting it's speed, not the least that the main board is only
a 16MHz unit!

As a matter of fact, I have the exact setup you described running on a
HP Vectra 486 EISA system. Works fine, although the CDC/Imprimis/Seagate
Wren VII SCSI-2 drive is faster. Fast is a very subjective term under
UNIX, but between these two drives, I haven't found a faster combination.
