We recently moved an Exabyte drive from our Sequent (connected via a Pertec/SCSI interface) to our RC3230 where is is connected to the builtin SCSI bus. All aspects of the new arrangement are perfect, except that we seem to have encountered some sort of intermittent problem with the RC3230 or RISC/OS 4.51. The problem occurs when we re-read to verify our backup tape in the small hours of the morning. The system panics with the following message: PANIC: assertion failed: nested_interrupt == 0, file: swtch.c, line: 91 We think this may be due to either the rate of data transfer or possibly to SCSI protocol problems. If it's a SCSI protocol problem, can any net readers let me know if Exabyte switch settings could be the cause and what the right switch might be?
