Prefetch and cache control on direct access devices seems to be vendor
spesific in SCSI-I, while SCSI-II has spesified this to some degree.
In SCSI-I, mode select pages are used to control cache and prefetch,
but CDC's way of handeling this is the only doc's I've seen.
I've tried to contact the Norwegian distributors of various drives
(Maxtor, Conner, Quantum) to get some information on how cache
control is done on their driver, but they either doesn't have the
information or are reluctant to give it away.
Does anyone out there have some info on cache control and prefetch on
Maxtor, Conner and Quantum ProDrive SCSI-I drives ?
