The 1542B is a bus master SCSI adapter,
supports up to 10MBytes/sec DMA rates
supports up to 5MBytes/sec SCSI rates
It is an intelligent adapter
8" form factor
The 1542 is supported under virtually every version of UNIX out of the box.
