I picked up an interesting article in the comp.sys.laptops newsgroup. It is a list of manufacturers who supply SCSI adapters that attach to the parallel port of your computer. Some are simply Parallel to SCSI adaptors, while others come with Hard drives installed. This appears to allow access to some number of External SCSI devices. My question is, does anyone actually have any experience with these things? I am primarily interested in Tape backup, but the Hard drive through the Parallel port is very interesting. It seems to me that transfer rates would be very bad for Hard Drives, but Tape Backup might not be too bad at Parallel port speeds. Martin Zam (201)564-2554
