Is there an Internet site one can FTP a copy of the ANSI X3.131-1986
document defining the SCSI standard?

I would also like this info.  IN addition, is there somewhere 
where I can get the pinouts for a SCSI-I cable?  I have a
SCSI Adapter card that expects a DB25 connector, while my
SCSI disk controller expects a 50 pin connector.  How are the
pins mapped?   Seems I have twice as many pins!

Appreciate any help for a SCSI novice.  Thanks.

From the adapter manufacturer.  Different manufacturers use different
pinouts.  For instance, on our IN-2000, we use the same pin out as the
Macintosh, because cables were already available.  Some other guys use
their own pin outs.

We were all SCSI novices once.
