Well after experimenting further today (reloading software and remaking the cable) I happy to say the problem is fixed. So in summary the Colorado Jumbo 10 works fine off the Adaptec 1542B floppy port. Further more so does PCBACKUP! I'm not sure what was the problem (cable or software) but it is working! I would still appreciate someone telling me where Roy Neese's utils are available for downloading off of a MS-DOS BBS. P.S. Yes I was able to return the FC-10 (Colorado tape controller for a refund)!
