If you are using either the xnx252 driver from SCO or the new I just sent out, you can create a new dev as follows: mknod /dev/urct0 c (target ID + 34) 32 For example, if you tape is at target ID 2, you would do: mknod /dev/urct0 36 32 >Any clues/minor number magic/kernel patches?
