dlb25@LOCAL.UUCP (Dave Besselievre) (06/06/91)

I purchased two Used Quantum Q280 SCSI disk drive lately and am having problems
getting the drives to working. My controller is seeing the drive at all SCSI
addresses. On another Segate Drive I had a similar problem and this turned
out to be a setup jumper problem.

Is there anyone out there that could sened me a disciption of the Jumpers on
the Drive. From the back of the drive the following configuration is present.

  -----------------------------------------------------------
  | |1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 |
  | SCSI cable connector | |
  | |8 jumper pairs |
  ___________________________________________________________

Thereis also an 8 pairs of jumper on the bottom of the electronic board
  labeled as follows.

	o o o o o o o o

all are open except p1 which is jumpered.

Thank you for any help you can give me
