I just purchased an Adaptec 1522 SCSI disk Board from a local Computer store that was cleaning out there back room. There was no documentation or software with the controller since it had been lost. Can anyone out there provide me with the jumper setting for this board. The board has the following jumpers and label. All of the jumpers are pairs of pins and a * next to the pair indicates that the board was currently jumpered at this location. Jump Row "J5" Jump Row "J7" Jump Row "J8" DT FE * DR BT * DR * D6 M0 DR D5 M1 DA * D0 * SN * DA DA DN * I6 * D6 R- I0 D5 R- DS D0 * SD * 1 SD * I2 * SD * I1 IC I0 IC * I9 DC AL * DC J6 * SP BE * Jump Pin Pair "J10" was open The Prom on the board is: 442501-00 C BIOS 6200 @ 1990 I need the following information about the board. 1. Will the board coexist in the DOS system with a WD 1006 SR2 disk controller that has two disk drives on it at present. 2. How many SCSI disks will the board support. 3. Will the Adaptec 1540 software that is available through ftp work with this board. 4. Is there anywhere I can download a manual from. preferably from an ftp site. 5, Is the external connector compatible with MAC SCSI Cables and disks. 6. Can the Diskette controller be readdressed or disabled. 7. Is there an internal low level format routine that can be accessed from debug, and what is the address of the routine. 8. What is the speed of the board. Thank You for your help.
