TC2's findfirst() and findnext() functions access file and directory names in a directory. But how does one read the directory per se to get access to a file's (or directory's) allocation information? I'm thinking about adding a minimal undelete to a program I'm writing and it would seem one has to follow a file's allocation chain in the FAT to do anything useful. If anyone has any C code that shows how to access the directory, and/or code that follows a file's allocation chain in the FAT, I'd be very interested in seeing it. E-mail responses would be fine. I'll summarize for those with a similar interest. Much thanks. -- Frank Burleigh burleigh@cica.cica.indiana.edu USENET: ...rutgers!iuvax!cica!burleigh BITNET: BURLEIGH@IUBACS.BITNET Department of Sociology, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana 47405
