[comp.sys.ibm.pc.programmer] BGI driver for ATI Wonder VGA

torkil@psivax.UUCP (Torkil Hammer) (04/12/90)

The ATI Wonder VGA has many new modes that use the 512kbyte ram.

It also comes with complete instructions on how to access it
and several drivers, not including BGI (Borland).

Turbo C knows how to install a vendor-supplied BGI driver,
but the manuals give no clues about how to write one.

Am I caught in the middle? ATI boards are bestsellers, and so is
Turbo C. Somebody must have made a BGI driver for it.

Any info on how to write a BGI driver is also welcome.

There is a similar problem with textmode(), which does not permit
the higher alpha modes of 0x23..37.

Please post or email.

I will summarize responses to the net.
