Does anyone have a listing of the codes used by the Microsoft
Serial mouse to tell the driver about each movement and button
press and release?
I've been reading the serial port trying to find a reliable
pattern in the numbers coming through. I take the ball out and
roll one of the rollers. There seems to be different codes for
the speed of the motion. Sometimes I will get 2 bytes and
sometimes 3 bytes per code. I think that I have the buttons
figured out, but the motion is a lot trickier.
I need to write my own mouse/cursor routines for my VGA's
800x600 mode and I'm in a bit of a quandary.
