I am a new subscriber to this newsgroup as well as a new PC user with the following problem: I would like to be able to type documents in Greek using my PC. The printer end of it is no problem, since it's pretty easy to load a new character set. My problem is that I don't know how to get the screen display working. Can I somehow load a font so that when I type I get an alternate character set that I have defined myself? When I worked in Greece, all the computers we had were customized so that typing CTRL-RET would alternate between Greek characters and English characters. I don't expect that can be done with software (at least not so that it would run from within any word processor, etc.) Anyway, I don't need something THAT great -- if I have to load a program to get Greek and then load something else to switch back, that would be good enough. Is this possible? I have an AT with an ATI graphics solution card (and Turbo C, if that helps!) I appreciate any suggestions that you might have. -- Verna Friesen vjfrieen@maytag.uwaterloo.ca University of Waterloo Waterloo, ON CANADA
